Ownership is a fact that goes stale.
A company register, a shareholder list and a person who can sign are different objects. A check done once is not a check that is still true.
The data, not the slogan
Write down which facts you need, who attested them, and when they must be looked at again. A commitment on a ledger can say a check happened. It should not be the passport, the chart, or the home address.
