Archive the announcement. Do not promote it to a holding.

On 15 October 2021 the account said Blockchain Lab had invested in Supreme Finance and expected to be a strategic development partner. This page records that sentence. It does not update it.

We are proud to announce our investment in Supreme Finance. The leading DeFi platform, laser focused on building a super simplified user experience with a security focused DeFi stack. Looking forward to be a core strategic dev partner of the super talented team @SupremeFinance2

What the post asserts, and only that

The post asserts an investment and an intention to be a core development partner of the team then using @SupremeFinance2. It describes the other project’s aim as a simplified, security-focused DeFi stack. It does not state a cheque size, a shareholding, a board seat, a token allocation or an outcome.

Those missing facts are not filled in here. A public sentence from 2021 is not a cap table.

Why it is not on the portfolio page

The current studio rule is simple: do not publish a company as a live venture unless it is real, current and something we will still say in a meeting. A five-year-old announcement fails that test on its own.

Leaving the post in the timeline and giving it an insight URL is the opposite of hiding it. Pretending it is a 2026 holding would be the actual misrepresentation.

What changed in the studio model

“Strategic dev partner” was the language of a services-plus-investment era. The model on this site is a protected build: the studio’s stake, if any, is documented for a specific company, with vesting, leaver rules and a path to independence. It is not implied by a tweet.

DeFi user-experience work can still be a valid problem. It is not, by itself, a reason to lead the studio with a token.
